Temporary part time opportunity providing specialised knowledge, skills, problem solving abilities and expertise in guardianship and administration including the governing legislative tools for the QH QCAT Guardianship Program.
The Clinical Coordinator acts as an expert for Queensland Health (QH), strategically leading the Hospital Hearing Program to meet its key performance objectives and promotes patient flow through the inpatient facilities across QH.

This is a niche team that works within the area of guardianship and administration across Queensland Health as part of a statewide program.
The team is based at Herston Campus and there is an opportunity to access some flexibility within the working arrangements once the successful candidate is established in the team.
Whilst the role is advertised at 0.5FTE there is some room to move with additional FTE should the successful candidate have capacity to work more than 0.5FTE upon negotiation with the Program Lead.
The role is for six months initially to backfill leave within the team.
There may then be a further opportunity to extend the role.
The successful candidate will ideally have experience within health and advanced clinical knowledge within guardianship and administration.

About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
Provide high level management and leadership to all Hospital Health Services across the state.
Support the leadership of the Program with advanced level clinical knowledge maintaining clear communication protocols internally with all clinicians whom QH QCAT Guardianship Program supports.
Demonstrate advanced level independent clinical decision making and judgment to provide consultation to social workers, clinicians and Executive on the management of adults requiring QCAT, and to support clinician autonomy with the QCAT application process.
High level skills in communication and stakeholder engagement.
