A rare opportunity is available for an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse manager to join the senior leadership team of a leading private hospital located in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs. Provide after-hours leadership across the hospital, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care and smooth operational coordination across multiple specialties. About the Role As the After Hours Manager, you will work closely with the Hospital Coordinator and receive handover from the Deputy Director of Nursing prior to each shift. This role oversees hospital operations after hours across a broad range of specialties including: Elective surgeries Intensive Care Unit Paediatrics Maternity and emergency caesarean services Special Care Nursery Key Responsibilities Provide after-hours leadership across the hospital Coordinate safe staffing levels and skill mix based on patient acuity Support Nurse Unit Managers and department leaders Oversee patient admissions and hospital flow Ensure patient and staff safety at all times Manage competing priorities and operational demands effectively Promote best practice standards and quality patient care Liaise effectively with public and private healthcare stakeholders About You To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate: Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse Previous leadership experience within acute care settings Background in ICU, senior nursing, NUM, or Med/Surg environments highly regarded Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills Understanding of private hospital operations and funding models Ability to lead and mentor multidisciplinary teams High level of computer literacy including patient management systems Commitment to National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards Current ALS certification (highly regarded) Benefits Permanent part-time position Senior leadership opportunity with ongoing support Professional development and training opportunities Healthscope employee benefits and discounted health insurance Novated leasing options available Supportive executive leadership team No scheduled surgeries during Christmas and Easter periods Convenient access to public transport Salary will be aligned with relevant nursing experience under the applicable enterprise agreement, with NUM Grade 3 rates applicable.
