Your new team – The Centre for Truth and Dialogue The Indigenous-led Centre for Truth and Dialogue, launching in 2026, will work across every faculty to advance a whole-of-University approach to truth-telling and dialogue. As a first-of-its-kind initiative, the Centre will position the University of Melbourne as a leader in reconciliation through research, practice, education and engagement. Its work will include investigating the University’s historical and contemporary role in injustices experienced by First Peoples, supporting truth-telling through facilitation and dispute resolution, embedding Indigenous histories across curricula, and creating culturally safe ways for communities to engage with archival material. These interconnected areas form a holistic and culturally grounded ecosystem that strengthens collaboration between the University and First Nations communities, driving meaningful and lasting impact.
