The Role
Full‐time Purchasing Officer at our Tomago site, responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, safely, with quality maintained and budgets met.
Responsibilities
* Sourcing materials and components.
* Being the first point of contact for purchasing requirements and queries.
* Negotiating best pricing and trading terms with suppliers.
* Ensuring preferred vendors are used and processes are adhered to.
* Reviewing market and industry trends and proposing strategies to improve processes and supply chain as required.
* Regularly monitoring ERP to assist with ensuring production schedules can be met.
* Working closely with the production manager to ensure we have stock and materials for production.
Qualifications
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* 2-3 years' experience in a similar purchasing role within a fast‐paced manufacturing environment.
* Proven experience as an analytical thinker and problem‐solver.
* Demonstrated experience in developing client relationships – internal and external.
* Experience with ERP systems (preferably Epicor but not essential).
* Ability to work in a fast‐paced environment.
