An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team at Cell Engineering. We provide engineering consultancy services based on a flexible, responsive, and personalised service to clients, with a strong emphasis on attention to detail. We deliver customised design solutions for power systems and process control across many industries. We are looking for a highly experienced, self-sufficient technical leader capable of managing projects and a team of engineers.
Key Responsibilities of the Role
* Coordinate and manage workgroups and projects associated with the delivery of electrical control and systems design for various clients.
* Guide and mentor Project Engineers and Graduate Engineers with project work, designs, and technical issues, while remaining responsible for the review of all completed work.
* Manage and report on projects from concept stages through to post-commissioning support, taking accountability for budgetary, timeframe, and WIP management.
* Provide Intelligent Electronic Device programming and onsite commissioning support.
* Develop and maintain contracts with clients, introduce new markets, achieve monthly potential client contact targets, and track all activities in the CRM system.
* Develop accurate reports, specifications, and technical papers from scratch, conveying complex technical content with excellent literacy and grammatical skills.
* Maintain QA documentation sign-off to ensure 100% compliance with ISO9001, manage personal billable hours targets (75% productivity), and promote office safety, health, and environmental objectives.
What You Will Bring to the Role
* A minimum of 6 years of relevant industry experience with a demonstrated track record of managing electrical engineering projects with successful outcomes.
* Advanced knowledge of electrical designs, engineering software packages, and an advanced understanding of PCS and power systems.
* A current RPEQ qualification, or the ability to obtain the qualification within 1 year from the award of the contract.
* Current membership with, or the appropriate qualifications to allow for membership to, the Institution of Engineers Australia.
* Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical content to clients and management.
* Deep knowledge of common Australian Standards, International Standards, Acts, and legislative regulations relevant to the electrical engineering and mining industry.
* A friendly, approachable attitude, paired with a desire to lead, use initiative, assess risk, and handle a diverse workload.
* The ability to provide onsite commissioning support for our clientele.
