Our Opportunity
With the recent acquisition of Mesh, a leading planning and urban design consultancy, Veris has an exciting opportunity for a Senior or Principal Planner within our growing Consulting & Advisory team located in Burnley, Melbourne.
What we do:
Our reputation for finding solutions and pathways through complex challenges has grown organically and we are sought after by both Government and the Development industry to assist with some of Victoria's most important projects.
At Veris we get excited by the possibilities of positive change and growth which we expertly guide with a diverse range of project including:
* State and local policy review and development
* Growth Strategies, Framework Plans and Precinct Structure Plans
* Large to 'really big' scale masterplans and planning permit applications for residential communities
* Advocating planning pathways
* Activity Centre Plans and Urban Design Frameworks
* Community consultation, vision and co-design workshops
About You
* A passion and flair for creative problem solving
* Demonstrated experience working on strategic growth area projects as well as more detailed subdivision approvals (this type of experience is preferred, but transferable skills from other areas of planning will also be considered)
* Demonstrated experience managing and leading complex projects
* Experience working collaboratively as part of a team, on a large number of projects and in a fast paced working environment.
* Minimum 8 years experience in a consulting/advisory role.
* Client first mindset – using established market presence to shape and drive delivery in Victoria and Nationally.
* Experienced in and required to operate independently, lead projects, interface with clients, deliver excellence, help procure and develop emerging professionals.
* Ability to assist with business development as Veris continues to grow.
