**Your new role**:
This is a key role within our Maritime Australia program, where you will contribute to the Hunter Class Frigate Program (HCFP) in the design and build of nine anti-submarine warfare frigates for the Royal Australian Navy.
As a Systems Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for the collation review and validation of Availability, Reliability and Maintainability (ARM) source data provided by suppliers to the HCFP.
**Reporting to the HCFP ARM Manager you will be responsible for**:
- Lead performance of ARM Analysis and Modelling for Combat and Support Systems.
- Provide support to the ARM Analysis and Modelling for Platform Systems.
- Review outputs from Logistic Support Analysis (LSA) activities such as;
- Failure Modes Effects and Critical Analysis (FMECA)
- Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM)
- Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA)
- Level of repair Analysis (LORA)
- Lead ARM activity interface with HCF Combat System Design, procurement and Original Equipment Manager Stakeholders (OEM) and provide technical guidance to ARM analysts.
- Draw conclusions and propose recommendations to improve equipment/system reliability and supportability based on analysis and available evidence.
- Interface with Regulators to ensure that the reliability of all delivered products meet the needs of the relevant Technical Regulatory System.
- Supplier and Contractor interaction and management of reliability related activities, particularly in obtaining and validating source data.
- Lead, manage and motivate an assigned team of ARM Engineers to deliver quality ARM products.
- This role will require interstate and possibly overseas travel.
About you
**As an ideal applicant for this opportunity, you'll have**:
- Experience in the technical review and reporting of assessment data relative to the mechanical and/or electrical health of systems and equipment (Essential).
- Understanding in Reliability analysis toolsets such as Windchill Risk & Reliability, RBD and Prediction (Highly Desirable)
- Tertiary qualification (degree, diploma or technical certificate qualification) in Engineering, Mathematics or Science.
- Knowledge in the operation and/or maintenance of systems within the defence environment or related technical industry.
- Significant experience in delivering large and complex technical projects, in both the acquisition and support phases of the lifecycle.
- Ability to lead and inspire personnel.
- Capability to learn fast and deal with abstract problems.
Clearances
As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance.
International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
