Through our diverse portfolio, data-led decision-making, and nationwide development pipeline, we do things differently.We are Vicinity.Role purposeThe Senior Accountant within Financial Operations plays a pivotal role in ensuring the accurate preparation, review, and delivery of financial information to Joint Venture Partners in a timely manner. This role also oversees banking administration, cash flow management, and forecasting for the Group.Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Senior Accountant holds overall responsibility for internal management reporting, external financial reporting, and systems administration.Key ResponsibilitiesThe Key Responsibilities Will Include But Not Limited ToLead and manage a small team (if required)Banking administrationPreparation of Owners’ cash distributions (weekly) and funding requests (ad-hoc)Preparation of monthly cash flow actual and forecast for the GroupMonthly management reporting for Joint Venture (JV) Partners including response to JV’s queriesReview of Balance Sheet and Bank Accounts reconciliationsReview of General Ledger Adjustments and Trial Balance (Monthly / Half-year / Annual)Preparation of Joint Venture’s Financial ReportsLiaising with external auditors, assisting with audit queries and requestsAd hoc project works and process improvementsSystem administrationKey Role RelationshipsThis role engages with a diverse range of stakeholders, both internal and external.Internal stakeholders include Treasury, Property Accounting, External Reporting, Corporate Accounting & Analysis, Group Property Insight, Tax, Property Investment Analytics, Capital Accounting, Accounts Payable, and Revenue Services.External stakeholders consist of Joint Venture Partners and External Auditors.Capability and ExperienceTo be considered for this role, you will hold tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Finance, along with full CA/CPA membership and prior experience as a Senior Accountant or in a similar role. Experience in a Big 4 or mid-tier accounting firm will be highly regarded. While experience in the retail property industry is ideal, it is not essential.You possess a strong analytical mindset and commercial acumen, with exceptional attention to detail. Highly organised and capable of managing multiple tasks with competing deadlines, you have well-developed Excel and problem-solving skills.
