Overview
This position would provide information, assessments, interventions, case management and psychoeducation to reduce the spread of HIV, Sexually Transmissible Infections (STIs) and Blood Borne Viruses (BBV's) and improve health outcomes for young people and families.

The NursePractitioner will be supported by a team of experienced youth healthcare experts, including psychologists, social workers, and other allied health and mental health practitioners. Having access to a team of co-located services means there is an incredible amount of support. headspace offers a supportive team environment. As a contracted practitioner, you receive referrals from the headspace team following an assessment, and we will provide full, comprehensive administration support and case management.
About You
We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team to support young people and their families.
Your Qualifications & Experience
* Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
* Postgraduate qualifications in Sexual Health and Vaccination, or currently working towards them.
* Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and take responsibility for one's own actions and to practice in accordance with the Nurse Practitioner Standards of Practice, and the Code of Conduct for Nurses (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia).
* Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of communicable disease control, harm reduction, and issues related to transmission and prevention of HIV, STIs and Blood Borne Viruses (BBV's).
* Current Working with Children\u2019s Check & Police Clearance.

* Relate to young people in a manner that is relevant and appropriate to their developmental and cognitive level of functioning. Additionally, collaborate with young people to provide inclusive and person-centred services.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

This position would be on a Contractor basis and remuneration would be via your Provider number under the Medicare Benefit Scheme. As well as retaining 100% of the MBS rate per patient, headspace Armadale will happily provide:
