Ballarat-based Quality Engineer - International reach. 
Advantage Feeders is a global leader in ruminant production systems, helping livestock farmers lift productivity, improve animal welfare, and drive sustainability. With strong growth across Australia, New Zealand, North America, the UK and Ireland, we're seeking a Quality Engineer to raise standards, improve systems and support production performance. 
This is a hands-on coordination and problem solving role. You'll work closely with engineering, production, and global manufacturing partners to maintain quality, control costs, and keep processes running smoothly. 
Key Responsibilities 
- Lead quality processes and resolve production and assembly issues 
- Maintain technical documentation (CAD drawings, BOMs, SOPs, assembly guides) 
- Drive continuous improvement and lean initiatives across quality and production 
- Coordinate container logistics, testing, spare parts orders, and issue resolution 
- Monitor international manufacturing partners for compliance and opportunities to improve quality and efficiency 
- Mentor and support the development of one direct report 
- Work with internal teams to improve designs, lower costs, and meet delivery goals.

What You’ll Bring 
- Trade qualification or Diploma in Engineering, or equivalent experience 
- 5+ years in quality assurance, production planning, or similar operational roles 
- Proven experience managing or mentoring 
- Strong CAD and technical drawing skills 
- Experience with SOPs & BOMs 
- Exposure to Lean, Quality Systems, Six Sigma or process optimisation 
- Solid organisational and communication skills 
- Competent with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace 
- Willingness to travel overseas up to 6 times per year (Max 10 days per trip), as required 
- Experience in mechanical/automotive manufacturing 
- Familiarity with quality control systems and product testing 
- Experience with assembly/flat pack documentation 
- Understanding of container logistics and documentation
