What are we looking for?
Skills Required:
* 5+ years in data science, with a strong foundation in machine learning, statistics, and data manipulation
* 2+ years in a leadership or team lead role
* Advanced proficiency in Python, R, and SQL
* Skilled with Tableau, Power BI, or Looker Studio
* Familiarity with ETL pipelines and data warehousing concepts
* Experience with Jupyter Notebooks, Git, and Agile workflows
* Excellent communication skills—you can explain complex insights to anyone
* Degree in Statistics, Data Science, Applied Math, or a related field
* Google Cloud Platform (GCP) including:
o BigQuery
o Google Cloud Storage
o Vertex AI
o Google Colab
o Looker Studio
o Analytics 360, GA4, Google Tag Manager, Google Ad Manager
* Apache Airflow
* Databricks
* Data modeling and database design, including partitioning strategies for large tables
* GCP security, monitoring, and maintenance
What will you do?
We’re seeking an experienced data scientist to deliver that insight to us daily. Our ideal team member will have the mathematical and statistical expertise you’d expect, but a natural curiosity and creative mind as well. As you mine, interpret, and clean the data, we will rely on you to ask questions, connect the dots, and uncover opportunities that lie hidden within—all with the goal of realizing the data’s full potential. You will join a team of data specialists but will “slice and dice” data using your own methods, creating new visions for the future.
* Lead the development of predictive models and advanced analytics to uncover user behaviors and content trends
* Build and maintain scalable data pipelines, reporting tools, and dashboards
* Collaborate across editorial, marketing, and commercial teams to deliver data-driven strategies
* Champion A/B testing and experimentation frameworks to optimize content performance
* Contribute to the architecture and integrity of our data warehouse
* Conduct ad-hoc analysis and deliver actionable insights to non-technical stakeholders
