Occupational Therapist – Earn Well, Work Freely, Build Your Own Practice (with support behind you)
Start with freedom and income.
If you've been thinking about stepping out of a salaried, target-driven role, this is one way to do it.
At Seeds Occupational Therapy, our subcontractors typically earn between $125–$200 per client, and keep most of the travel funding as well. You set your hours, choose your families, and can say no when something isn't the right fit.
We provide referrals, admin support, templates, and guidance so you're not doing it all alone.
To give some context, a full caseload of around six clients per day can exceed $200,000 per year. Some people work at that level, others prefer fewer days or school hours. It's flexible.
About Seeds OT
We're a small practice supporting children and families through the NDIS. Most of our work is home and community-based across Melbourne's inner-west and nearby suburbs.
We work with a mix of presentations including autism, ADHD, developmental delay, learning differences, sensory and motor challenges, and trauma backgrounds.
Demand is steady, so we're looking to bring on another OT.
The opportunity
Deliver home and community visits mainly in Melbourne's inner-west and inner-north.
Choose your schedule, from a few clients a week to a full caseload.
Build your own caseload and work with families that are a good fit.
Develop a niche if you want to, or keep things general.

What this looks like in practice
Experienced OTs often use this to move away from corporate roles and build something more flexible.
Early-career OTs can learn private work with support available when needed.
Some people return to practice this way, working school hours or reduced days.
