About The Role
The Corrective Services Academy (the Academy) in Bentley, is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and is responsible for identifying and delivering the Corrective Services current and future learning and development needs at the individual, business group and organisational level in the areas of foundation, corporate governance, work skills and leadership development.

The Academy's Learning Support Services (LSS) Section provides learning support to the Academy's 5 operational training branches in the delivery of accredited training for frontline operational staff, with a focus on accredited foundation programs for Prison Officers, Youth Custodial Officers, Youth Justice Officers and Adult Community Corrections Officers aligned to the Certificate III in Correctional Practice (CSC30122).

The LSS leads and manages the governance, registration and operations of the RTO and ensuring that all legislative, Vocational and Educational Training (VET) standards and compliance requirements are met. They are also responsible for providing efficient and effective high quality curriculum development and management, student academic support, including assisting in the development of individual learning plans and the development and support of training staff. Based at the Academy, the Manager LSS provides professional leadership across the LSS to ensure consistent, high quality program delivery and educational outcomes are achieved. As a member of the Academy's Senior Leadership Team (SLT), the Manager LSS actively participates in the formulation and achievement of objectives, strategies and priorities that support the effective functioning of the Academy
.
The successful applicant will possess demonstrated professional knowledge of the current standards for RTOs and experience working with VET regulators. You will be able to demonstrate significant experience in managing/leading a team to design, develop, implement, manage and review an internal quality assurance process which demonstrates RTO compliance against the current Standards for RTOs. The successful applicant will also possess demonstrated high level interpersonal, communication, negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
