- $68.13 p/h + penalties
- Located in Lisarow, NSW
- Monday to Friday, 38 hrs per week
About Our Client:
WorkPac is seeking an experienced Manual Machinist / Fitter & Machinist to join our client’s dynamic and growing maintenance and repair team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson with a strong mechanical background to work with a well-established organisation in the engineering sector. Our client is a well-established engineering and maintenance company based in Lisarow, specialising in the repair, refurbishment, and supply of industrial rotating equipment. With a robust reputation for quality workmanship and technical expertise, they provide reliable solutions to a wide range of industries including mining, manufacturing, and utilities.
What you will be doing:
In this position, you will be responsible for:
- Setting up and operating lathes, boring machines, and related manual machining equipment
- Performing precision machining and fitting from engineering drawings and specifications
- Assembling, fault diagnosing, and repairing rotating and metal equipment
- Ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards
What you will need:
- Certificate IV in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent trade qualification)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Proficiency in manual machining, fitting, and assembly work
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings accurately
- A strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork
Highly Regarded Skills
- Laser alignment experience
- Welding skills (TIG, MIG, or ARC)
- Experience with pump and rotating equipment maintenance
