We are seeking an Operations Manager to join our Management Team at Mossman Gorge Cultural Centre.
The Mossman Gorge Cultural Centre, embraced by one of the world's most beautiful locations, introduces visitors to the natural beauty of the Daintree and the culture of the Kuku Yalanji people.
You will be an experienced, people-focused Operations Manager with strong experience in managing people and operations within a tourism and hospitality environment.
Your primary responsibilities will include organizational-wide people management, learning, performance, employee and internal communications.
Key Duties
* Supporting, developing, and retaining Indigenous employees and trainees to achieve employment goals.
* Managing daily operations of shuttle bus, retail, food & beverage teams, ensuring cost-effective operations.
* Analyzing financial data to improve profitability while managing budgets and forecasts.
* Developing food & beverage and retail offerings to ensure top-quality experiences.
* Managing inventories and overseeing cost efficiencies.
* Assisting the General Manager with capital expenditure projects.

* Management experience in hospitality or related fields
* Certificate IV in Tourism or equivalent experience
* Experience in managing complex projects
* Ability to negotiate and build relationships with external providers
* Conflict resolution skills at the department level
* Financial skills including budgeting and reporting
* Interest and knowledge in Indigenous Tourism
