Position Overview
The University of Wollongong is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of rural end-to-end program funding within the Faculty of Science, Medicine and Health (SMAH). This full-time, fixed-term appointment is until 30 June 2026 and offers an attractive remuneration package. The role is based at UOW Southern Highlands, Shoalhaven, or Wollongong Campuses, with location negotiations available.
About SMAH
The Faculty encompasses the Schools of Science; Medical, Indigenous and Health Sciences; Nursing; and the Graduate School of Medicine. It aims to be a major force in connected and science-embedded education, translational science, and health research in Australia, committed to equity, diversity, and reconciliation.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the delivery of rural program funding with a focus on outcomes.
Engage strategically with stakeholders in regional communities, including community groups, government, and external partners involved in rural health care services.
Manage infrastructure projects, including developing plans for ongoing capital works.
Foster relationships to support health workforce strengthening in rural Australia.
Qualifications and Experience
Postgraduate qualifications and extensive project management experience.
Proven track record in managing infrastructure projects and capital works planning.
Knowledge of rural or remote health issues is highly regarded.
