In this role, you'll help oversee the real‑time performance of cutting‑edge renewable energy assets across Australia. You'll work closely with technical specialists to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of wind, solar, and battery projects—making a direct contribution to the stability of Australia's energy system.
What You'll Be Doing
* Monitoring the operation of renewable assets through advanced control systems and responding to events in the National Electricity Market.
* Working with asset and market teams to support safe operational decision‑making.
* Reviewing and actioning notifications from system operators, contractors, and network providers.
* Supporting energy market bidding activities under established guidelines.
* Managing operational communication with AEMO, transmission providers, and operational contractors.
* Analysing performance data and assisting in the preparation of daily and periodic operational reports.
* Supporting system improvements, procedure updates, and operational workflows.
* Assisting with outage coordination and operational planning in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
* Working within a 24/7 rotating shift environment, ensuring continuous oversight of national assets.
About You
* Degree in engineering or a related field, ideally with exposure to energy markets or renewable energy.
* Strong analytical capability and confidence working with data tools such as Excel.
* Clear communicator, detail‑oriented, and able to work effectively in a team under time‑sensitive conditions.
* Comfortable working in a shift‑based operational environment, including nights and weekends.
* Able to maintain focus and composure in high‑pressure situations.
* Previous experience in a control room or 24/7 operational role is highly valued.
* Fluent in written and spoken English.
