Home Lending Professional
The role of a Home Lending Professional involves assisting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to participate in home ownership through various programs.
Key Responsibilities
1. Conduct client interviews to understand their borrowing capacity and housing requirements.
2. Analyse clients' financial information to assess eligibility for loans.
3. Prepare loan submissions for approval, managing loan administration and customer aftercare matters.
4. Develop well-considered loan scenarios, taking into account clients' needs and circumstances.
5. Collaborate with external service providers to support clients throughout the lending process.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
* Strong knowledge of home or business lending principles, including end-to-end loan assessment processes.
* Proficiency in using computer-based applications, including Microsoft Office and lending platforms.
* Able to effectively analyse client information and develop suitable loan scenarios.
* Excellent communication skills, with a focus on supporting borrowers throughout the lending process.
Cultural Capability
Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander societies and culture are essential for this role. The successful candidate will be able to communicate sensitively and effectively with Indigenous staff.
