**The Role**
You will have unique opportunity to work as the Training Manager for the Defence Research, Innovation and Collaboration Security (DRICS) Team that plays a critical role in protecting Australia's defence and national security technology and capability edge both now and in the future.
Working within a small team you will provide training, education and support on the implementation of the DRICS policy throughout the whole of Defence.
Reporting to the Assistant Director, you will broadly be responsible for:
- Performing training and development activities (analysis, design, development, training delivery/implementation and evaluation) for both face to face and e-learning training.
- Engaging and communicating across a wide range of stakeholders.
- Providing training administrative and coordination support functions including using internal IT systems.
- Coordinating, responding to enquiries and performing sensitive activities that require problem solving and issue management.
- Developing and maintaining training support systems and processes.
- Working in a geographically dispersed team and setting work priorities.
It is desirable that you hold a Certificate IV in Training or other relevant qualifications in adult learning. It is also desirable that you have an understanding of the Defence security space. You will be required to travel interstate occasionally to support the program.
**About our Team**
The Defence Research, Innovation and Collaboration Security team (DRICS) is a new team in DSTG's Science Strategic Planning and Engagement division. The team is responsible for ensuring that our security protections and those applied by our collaborators are contemporary and aligned with our security policies.
As Defence collaborations are evolving and moving into more sensitive and nationally classified areas, the DRICS teams role is to ensure that Defence's technology and capability edge is not compromised.
To be successful in this role you will be highly motivated, skilled and be willing to help others though formal and informal learning. You will be comfortable networking with a wide variety of stakeholders and will build and sustain key working relationships.
Applicants will have excellent written and oral communication skills and be comfortable in the training delivery space. Demonstrated experience in administration and coordination is required.
Security Clearance: Required, Top Secret (NV2)
Prior to commencement successful applicants will be required to have or obtain a BASELINE security clearance. They will then be required to undertake the security clearance process to achieve a NV2 security clearance.
