**About the role**
A great opportunity has arisen for a talented interior designer to join the BrandWorks family in our Melbourne office. Specifically, we are looking for a **Mid-Weight Interior Designer** on a part-time or full-time basis. You are a conceptual thinker who has a thirst for problem solving, big picture ideas, good food and design. You have the ability to think strategically as well as aesthetically and are culturally engaged with a confident handle on trends and forecasts.
You will be responsible for supporting our senior designer in creating and executing interior design concepts. Your role will include but not be limited to meeting and liaising with clients, building designs in 3D, creating finishes palettes, documenting and executing designs and assisting in construction admin.
You will also be responsible for maintaining and updating the office finishes library and will assist the senior in all things FFE specifying. Whether it is creating finishes boards, ordering samples or researching new innovations. We will look to you when it comes to all things tactile.
**To be successful in this role**
- Tertiary qualifications in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or Architecture are essential
- A right to live and work in Australia
- At least 2-5 years of experience in a similar role. Experience in hospitality design is a must.
- A high level of technical proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Suite and Google Sketchup. 3D rendering in either Twin Motion or V-Ray is advantageous but not a must.
- You demonstrate a portfolio showcasing experience working as an interior designer, preferably within the hospitality sector.
- You have knowledge and experience with FFE design and particularly finishes for hospitality fit-outs
- You have excellent communication skills (Bahasa and English), you know the right questions to ask, and you have incredible attention to detail and great planning skills.
- You are willing to work efficiently and also take the time to collaborate and pass on their knowledge.
