Who are we looking for
We are looking for a motivated Senior Botanist to join our Ecology team.
Our Environment business has experienced strong growth and is one of the largest groups in WA, leading in impact assessment and approvals for terrestrial, marine, air and noise assessments.
Our diverse team works on projects with a strategic focus on renewable energy, critical minerals and Defence at regional, national and global scales.

Responsibilities
Undertake and lead botanical surveys across the state, including detailed basic and targeted flora and community surveys and subsequent flora identification.
Prepare technical reports, including vegetation and flora assessments, clearing assessments and documentation to support referrals and environmental assessments.
Prepare winning proposals to support business growth.
Travel throughout the state to conduct surveys, often in remote locations for extended periods.
Conduct specific ecology surveys and assessments.
Maintain knowledge of ecological and botanical guidance and approvals.
Make technical decisions and provide solutions based on expertise.
What you will bring to the team
Bachelor's degree qualification in environmental science, ecology or a related discipline.
At least 5 years of relevant consulting experience as a botanist, preferably within Western Australia.
Current driver's licence (C class) with manual preferred.
Proven experience and sound understanding of current environmental issues and legislation.
Proven experience in proposal development, project management and working as part of a team.
Proven experience supervising junior team members and mentoring.
Ability to deliver critical project outcomes under pressure with enthusiasm and drive.
