KSC3. Demonstrated ability to lead collaborative relationships with students, colleagues, parents and the broader community focused on wellbeing and engagement, particularly attendance.

KSC4. Ability to provide leadership, professional learning and coaching that informs and influences the work of others involved in the engagement and wellbeing of children and young people.

KSC5. Demonstrated ability to input into the development, implementation and evaluation of policies and strategies relating to mental health and wellbeing.

KSC6. Demonstrated ability to reflect upon their own, others and whole school practice and contribute to the provision of whole school professional learning.


Role


The Wellbeing Specialist will work collaboratively with school executive team to monitor all students across the school in wellbeing.

This position requires the successful applicant to:

* To be a member of the school leadership & wellbeing team.
* Support the implementation, development and review of the school Strategic plan and School Annual Implementation plan.
* To look at proactive programs we can use to promote a positive school environment.
* Work in cooperation with other leading teacher coordinators
* To work on improving attendance in the wellbeing team


Responsibilities

* Attend Leadership and Co-ordinators meeting.
* Develop, promote and implement good attendance at school.
* Develop attendance plans where required
* Follow up on any Child safe practices
* Work with the Student Wellbeing officers and any other services.
* Attend weekly Wellbeing meetings
* Provide follow ups to PLCs and teachers on particular students
* Circulate new professional readings and resources.
* To examine any data from a Wellbeing perspective such as Student attitudes, Bullying data, reflections data and attendance data.
* Co-ordinate and manage the attendance data across PLC¿s
* Develop with teachers behaviour management plans for students at need.
* Responsible for Wellbeing resources.
* Coordinate the review, development and implementation of school programs.
* Be involved in the development of the AIP.
* Be a part of the School Wide Positive Behaviour team
* Support our Koorie and indigenous students in the school
* To collaborate with teachers to plan and deliver curriculum and to provide feedback on the quality of curriculum delivery.
* To promote and implement existing DET policy and resources.
* Manage the organization of Professional Learning in Wellbeing and Respectful relationships.
* Manage SSGs for out of home care students.
* Provide professional learning communication to all key stakeholders at the school.


Who May Apply


Teachers currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching and qualified to teach and/or have demonstrated experience in the curriculum area(s) specified for the position.

VIT LANTITE


To be eligible for employment, transfer or promotion in the principal or teacher class a person must have provisional or full registration from the Victorian Institute of Teaching. In addition, from 3 August 2020, to be eligible for employment in the principal class or teacher class, a person who graduated from a Victorian Initial Teacher Education program after 1 July 2016, must demonstrate that they have passed the literacy and numeracy test for initial teacher education (LANTITE) requirements. This condition is satisfied where the LANTITE requirement is part of the Victorian Initial Teacher Education program completed by the person.


Location Profile


Delacombe Primary School is situated in the southwest corner of Ballarat and services a growing residential area. The school grounds are the envy of local schools and include adventure play equipment, sandpits, grassed areas, soccer and basketball courts and a full sized cricket/football oval that the school has use of during the day. In 2021 the school opened a competition sized basketball stadium which is equipped with a multipurpose room, change rooms and a kitchen. The current enrolments are currently at approximately 641students across 29 classrooms and is in a growth corridor of Ballarat.
