Description
This full‐time, permanent Senior Human Resources Advisor position is based at the St. Lucia Campus. It is open exclusively to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander candidates to increase Indigenous representation within UQ's HR portfolio.
Base salary: $95,361 – $102,302 per annum plus 17% superannuation (HEW Level 6). The role is subject to UQ's standard employment terms and conditions.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver timely, accurate and pragmatic HR advice and support to staff and leaders, ensuring consistent application of policies and procedures.
* Manage and resolve a diverse portfolio of HR queries and cases—including recruitment, appointments, performance management and employee relations—escalating complex or sensitive issues as required.
* Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and collaborating across HR advisory, transactional and specialist teams to deliver integrated, client‐focused services.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by supporting HR projects, maintaining knowledge resources and leveraging client feedback to enhance service quality, efficiency and user experience.
About You
* Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of experience and professional training.
* Demonstrated experience delivering end‐to‐end HR advice and administrative support across core processes, including recruitment, performance management and employee relations within a policy‐driven environment.
* Strong analytical and problem‐solving capability, with the ability to exercise sound judgement when managing complex and sensitive HR matters.
* Proven ability to build effective working relationships and establish credibility as a trusted advisor with a diverse range of stakeholders.
* Well‐developed communication, negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to clearly interpret and apply HR policies and frameworks.
* Experience working in a professional advisory or service delivery function within a complex organisational environment, with a focus on responsiveness, accuracy and continuous improvement.
