Strategic Planning Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Strategic Planner to deliver key land use and development projects that will guide our municipality's long-term growth and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage five major strategic planning projects through to completion, ensuring timely delivery and effective stakeholder engagement.
* Provide expert advice on strategic land use planning in line with legislative and council requirements, leveraging a strong understanding of the Planning and Environment Act 1987 and Victorian planning systems.
* Develop and maintain relationships with government agencies, community groups, and internal teams through collaborative stakeholder consultation.
* Prepare detailed project reports and recommendations, focusing on actionable insights and data-driven solutions.
About You:
* You have extensive experience in managing complex strategic planning projects within local government, with a proven track record of success.
* You possess a strong understanding of the Planning and Environment Act 1987 and Victorian planning systems, enabling you to provide expert advice and guidance.
* You are a skilled communicator and team player, able to engage stakeholders effectively and work collaboratively towards common goals.
Additional Information:
* This role is primarily remote, with occasional travel for meetings and site visits as required.
* Applicants should be self-motivated and equipped with their own setup for virtual meetings, with a strong ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Local Council experience is highly desirable, but not essential.
