Commercial Architect/Designer – Practice Manager/Partner
$150,000 – $225,000 per year + Profit Share
About the role
Built Form Capital in conjunction with Waters Architecture are seeking an experienced Commercial Lead Architect/Designer to join our high‐achieving team as a Practice Manager/Partner. In this full‐time partnership, you will be based in our new architectural offices in Osborne Park, Western Australia. You will be half of the leadership team as the \"Practice Manager\" overseeing the operations, documentation and engine room of the practice.
What you'll be doing
* Lead, direct and mentor a team of talented architects and designers
* Oversee the delivery of innovative, market‐leading and iconic commercial design projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and best‐practice standards
* Contribute to the development of new business opportunities through pitching, tendering and building strong client relationships
* Implement and maintain efficient operational processes to support the practice's growth
* Collaborate with the senior leadership team to shape the strategic vision and long‐term growth of the business
* Foster a positive, innovative and client‐centric culture within the practice
* Work as part of a larger commercial, industrial development, construction and investment group environment
What we're looking for
* Fully qualified architect with 5+ years of post‐registration experience or an equally experienced practice manager or senior commercial draftsperson
* Demonstrated track record of delivering complex commercial design projects from concept to completion, ideally with tilt‐panel & basement experience
* Strong commercial acumen and business management skills, with the ability to oversee all aspects of practice operations including HR, accounting and workflow processes
* Exceptional leadership and people‐management capabilities, with a proven ability to motivate and inspire teams
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage with clients at all levels
* Passion for mentoring and developing junior team members
* Thorough understanding of the architectural and construction industry in Western Australia as well as REVIT experience (essential)
