genU is seeking a skilled Media & Public Relations Specialist to enhance awareness and understanding of our organization, leading to improved brand awareness, reputation, and positioning.
\
This role is critical in giving our voice and advocacy to shape public perception in favour of vulnerable communities, to build awareness and the reputation of genU, and to position the organisation as a sector leader.

About You
\
\
1. Have outstanding communication skills, experience in communications planning and media strategy, strong stakeholder and media management skills,
\
2. Be able to write content for a range of mediums including online, social media, media releases, and corporate documents
\
3. Identify story and messaging opportunities from the business to share internally and externally
\
4. Position genU as an advocate and thought leader in community forums, such as LinkedIn, conferences, and media
\
5. Research for and prepare communications including media releases/comments/positioning statements, speeches, and presentations for executive external speaking engagements, and feature articles on genU holistically for publications
\
6. Assist with the development of award submissions to seek industry and public recognition of genU as a service delivery leader
\
7. Assist with content development for genU corporate documents, such as the annual report
\
8. Liaise with journalists across Australia to position genU for positive media coverage
\
9. Monitor and report on media coverage as required and appropriate to suit the information needs of the business
\
10. Scan for and monitor PR risks and provide advice around mitigation strategies
\
