Project Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Project Supervisor to oversee the successful completion of various projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.


About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Project Supervisor. In this role, you will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion, and maintaining high-quality standards.


Key Responsibilities

* Manage Multiple Projects: Oversee the execution of multiple projects from site measure through to final defects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
* Collaborate with Internal Project Manager: Work closely with the Internal Project Manager to ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained on site to complete works within the contracted timeframe.
* Facilitate Site Measurements: Facilitate all site measurements and provide necessary information to drafting teams for nesting purposes.
* Liaise with Contractors and Installers: Act as the first point of contact on site to liaise between the Contractor, Internal Project Manager, and Installers, ensuring smooth communication and coordination.
* Supervise Installers: Actively supervise and coordinate the Installers to ensure all works are being completed in a timely manner, to a high-quality standard, and in the correct priority order.
* Manage QA Inspections: Undertake weekly QA inspections of installed joinery and keep accurate records of defects in Jobman Job Alerts.
* Closure of Defects: Manage Installers to ensure all defects they are responsible for are closed out within the required timeframe of 72 hours.
* Report Recuts and Reworks: Liaise with the Production Team to report all recuts and reworks and actively manage these work orders to completion.


Requirements and Qualifications

* Qualified Cabinet Maker: Possess a qualification in cabinet making or a related field.
* Previous Supervisory Experience: Have previous experience in supervisory roles, preferably in the construction or manufacturing industry.
* Exceptional Time Management Skills: Demonstrate exceptional time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting Skills: Exhibit strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to think critically and resolve complex issues efficiently.
* Strong Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders, including contractors, installers, and internal teams.
