About the Role
Join the team at McGuire Hotels' RQ's Tavern as a Commis Chef. This full-time role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment in Robina, QLD 4226. As a Commis Chef, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in the preparation and cooking of a diverse range of high-quality dishes.
What you'll be doing
* Assist the Head Chef in the preparation and cooking of a variety of menu items
* Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standard and in a timely manner
* Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to all health and safety regulations
* Contribute to the development and testing of new menu items
* Participate in stock management and ordering processes
* Support the Head Chef in the day-to‐day operations of the kitchen
What we're looking for
* Previous experience as a Commis Chef or in a similar role within the Hospitality & Tourism industry
* Demonstrated expertise in Chefs/Cooks duties, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation
* Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to work well under pressure
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene
* Passion for creating delicious, high‐quality dishes and a willingness to learn and develop your culinary skills
* Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with the kitchen brigade
