The Garment Decoration Technician is responsible for operating and maintaining equipment used in embroidery, DTF printing, heat pressing, and vinyl weeding. This role supports the full production process by preparing garments and applying high-quality custom decorations in line with customer specifications. It requires attention to detail, precision, and time management to meet daily production goals, with on site training.
Key Responsibilities:
· Operate embroidery machines and assist with threading, hooping, and stitching garments.
· Prepare and apply DTF (Direct to Film) transfers using heat press machinery.
· Perform vinyl weeding and layout preparation for heat application.
· Check garment placements, artwork orientation, and ensure high finish quality.
· Work from production sheets and customer specifications to meet order requirements.
· Maintain and clean embroidery and heat press equipment as required.
· Organise and track production jobs to ensure timely completion.
· Assist with folding, tagging, and packaging finished items.
· Report any quality or workflow issues to the Production Manager promptly.
· Follow OH&S procedures and maintain a clean and safe production area.
Skills & Experience Required:
· Experience in garment decoration including embroidery, DTF, and vinyl is highly desirable, but not essential.
