Applied is seeking a full-time Mid-Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for day-to-day tasks related to mechanical design and engineering, including creating 3D models, conducting simulations and analysis, and reviewing and improving existing designs. Applied Robotics completes turn-key projects consisting of Special Purpose Machinery, Vision Systems, Custom End Effectors, Conveying, and Robotics that require a Mechanical Design Engineer to leverage knowledge across the full spectrum of Mechanical Automation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful completion of projects and contribute to the development of innovative automation solutions.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
* At least 5 years of experience in mechanical design and engineering
* Proficiency in CAD software, such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD
* Experience with designing and implementing automation systems
* Strong knowledge of mechanical principles, materials, and manufacturing processes
* Ability to analyze and solve complex engineering problems
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Attention to detail and ability to meet project deadlines
* Experience with robotics and automation technologies is a requirement
* Familiarity with safety standards and regulations including AS4024 and AS4991
