Applied is seeking a full-time Mid-Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for day-to-day tasks related to mechanical design and engineering, including creating 3D models, conducting simulations and analysis, and reviewing and improving existing designs. Applied Robotics complete turn key projects consisting of Special Purpose Machinery, Vision Systems, Custom End Effectors, Conveying and Robotics that require a Mechanical Design Engineer to leverage knowledge across the full spectrum of Mechanical Automation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful completion of projects and contribute to the development of innovative automation solutions.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
* At least 5 years of experience in mechanical design and engineering
* Proficiency in CAD software, such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD
* Experience with designing and implementing automation systems
* Strong knowledge of mechanical principles, materials, and manufacturing processes
* Ability to analyse and solve complex engineering problems
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Attention to detail and ability to meet project deadlines
* Experience with robotics and automation technologies is a requirement
* Familiarity with safety standards and regulations including AS4024 and AS4991
