**Position Objectives**:
- Teaching students the art of drumming
Includes but is not limited to:
- Technique
- Rhythm
- Grooves, Fills, Rudiments etc.
- Playing to music
- Playing with other musicians
- Performing
- Teaching music theory and musical literacy
- Working with students to grow and cultivate their own unique style on the instrument
- Preparing and training students for any music or drum related examinations and performances. (E.g. AMEB: Rock School examinations, High School performances etc.)
**Key Responsibilities**:
Include but aren't limited to:
- Conducting trial lessons
- Teaching students
- Cleaning and maintaining the drum school
- Communicating the progress of students to parents
- Providing and checking homework
**Knowledge and Experience**:
Music Theory
Technique
Live Performance Experience (Preferable but not required)
**To do this role you will need to have**:
Previous teaching experience
A valid Working with Children's Check
