We're on the lookout for experienced APS6 Senior Procurement Officers for a full time month temporary contract with a Federal Government agency based in Docklands.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing end-to-end procurement activities for diverse projects, including tenders for construction, civil works, and other service categories.
* Developing Request for Tender (RFT) documentation and evaluation reports.
* Overseeing smaller procurements using panel contracts and other procurement frameworks.
* Ensuring all procurement activities comply with the agencies policies and the Commonwealth Procurement Rules.
* Collaborating with internal teams such as legal advisors, commercial specialists, and technical experts.
* Preparing briefing papers and procurement approval documentation.
* Contributing to process improvements and maintaining high standards of compliance and safety.
What we're looking for:
* Proven experience in procurement, particularly in construction, civil works, or related service categories.
* Solid understanding of procurement policies and procedures, especially within government frameworks.
* Ability to interpret and explain procurement rules clearly and confidently.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
* Strong capacity to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
* Experience working with stakeholders at various levels of government or industry.
* High attention to detail with a focus on delivering quality outcomes.
* A flexible, team-oriented attitude with a proactive approach to challenges.
* Advanced skills in MS Word and Excel.
* Knowledge of government procurement rules.
