About the Role
This position involves investigating and litigating claims, providing support and advice on strategy, resolution and coverage. You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse and engaging mix of insurance matters, with a particular focus on common law tort claims and statutory workers compensation and CTP claims.
As a member of our Canberra team, you will be working closely with Partners in a strong team environment, supporting training and mentoring, and advocating in the courts and tribunals.
* Direct client access;
* Collaboration with Partners;
* Supportive training and mentoring;
* Advisory work on coverage analysis, liability and potential non-disclosure issues;
* Assisting insurers with claims disputes, investigations and complaints; and
* Advocacy in the courts and tribunals.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Experience in insurance and litigation;
* Critical analysis skills in respect of expert reports, contracts and/or legislation and regulatory documents;
* Ability to draft clear and concise communications;
* Good interpersonal and communication skills in conversing with clients and other parties;
* A desire to develop your career and professional network in the Insurance industry.
