Pirtek Launceston requires a motivated, enthusiastic person who takes pride in their work to join their team as a Centre Technician / Field Service Technician.

The Role
As a Centre Technician / Field Service Technician, you will be expected to deliver consistent, accurate, high quality field service and supply of fluid transfer solutions to our customers. This is a hands-on role where there will be travel to sites within the Launceston and surrounding areas, to replace hoses in breakdown situations or complete new installation work on a variety of machinery.
The role is based out of our Service and Supply Centre in Launceston and is best suited to applicants who reside in the Launceston area or are ready and willing to relocate.
The job will challenge you to provide solutions and build relationships with a variety of customer types. This is a hands-on role primarily based in our workshop but also assisting our mobile service technicians where required.
You will be part of a team serving customers over the counter, taking sales enquiries over the phone and providing the highest standard of customer service which we all pride ourselves on giving. You will also be required to be a part of our on-call 24-hours after-hours service roster.
You
To be considered for this position, you will ideally have:
* Field service experience in Fitter and / or Mechanical roles
* Previous hose assembly experience (preferred but not essential)
* A trade certificate and / or previous experience within the Hydraulics industry; would be an advantage
* A strong understanding of and a commitment to faultless customer service
* Strong verbal and written communication and numerical skills
* Understand current OHS and Safe Work Practices
* A current Manual Drivers' License and willing to obtain an MR License
* Organised and reliable, with a team player attitude
* An underlying level of urgency balanced with strict attention to detail
* The ability to think on your feet and solve problems under pressure
* Be well presented, groomed and medically fit for the task
* You reside in, or are willing to relocate to, Launceston
* Must be available for overtime and weekend work when required
