Job Title: Business Director
Job Summary
The Business Director will be responsible for leading business operations in their region, encompassing safety leadership, people management, client service, and operational excellence.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Preparing annual business plans and budgets
* Managing continuous improvement and operational areas
* Achieving net revenue, gross margin, G&A, operating income, and backlog targets
* Growth and continuous improvement through improvement plans for underperforming operations
* Collaboration and work sharing across the business centre to meet utilisation targets
* Providing leadership and direction to staff and communicating objectives, actions, and focus
* Reinforcing and further developing high-performance culture
* Talent management lifecycle, including recruitment, career development, employee engagement, succession planning, coaching, and mentoring
* Client relationships, strategic project pursuits, and major project leadership within their region
Requirements
* Team leadership experience, preferably managing teams of >20 people
* Demonstrated experience in financial management and delivering results
* Sound understanding of contracts and commercial arrangements on projects
* Problem-solving and negotiation skills to resolve issues
* Project management experience in managing large portfolios of projects
* Interpersonal skills to manage internal stakeholders
* Client focus and ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships
* Relevant tertiary qualifications
* Minimum 10 years' related work experience, leadership, financial management, and consulting experience
