About the role

Due to significant growth in the Disability department, this exciting Teacher Disability role at TAFE Gippsland is now available. You will play a vital role in delivering high-quality vocational education, helping students develop practical, industry-relevant skills. Your responsibilities include designing, delivering, and assessing accredited training that meets current industry standards and student needs, while engaging diverse learners and industry partners.

You will work closely with varied student groups and industry stakeholders, maintain accurate records, support continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with industry requirements. Additionally, you will contribute to developing and delivering innovative learning materials, including online content, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment across campuses. This is a 3-day per week role, with scheduled classes on Monday and Tuesday, and a flexible third day to suit your lifestyle.

About you

You are a passionate and experienced educator or industry expert with a strong background in disability services. You hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent) or are willing to obtain it with support and mentoring, along with relevant disability qualifications. With at least 3 years of industry experience, you bring credibility and depth to your teaching.

Your teaching style is flexible, inclusive, and student-centred. You are confident with digital platforms, highly organised, and thrive in collaborative team environments. Well-versed in compliance standards, you are committed to maintaining vocational currency and educational quality. Your ability to support diverse students, build strong industry connections, and contribute to program development makes you a valuable asset to TAFE Gippsland.

What you'll need

* Minimum Certificate IV in Disability or equivalent qualification
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent) or the willingness to obtain with support and mentoring
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage learners of all ages and experience levels
* Minimum 3 years industry experience.
