This is a National Account Manager role with a Punthill-twist. Joining our National Sales Team, you'll be responsible for the retention, management and growth of the Federal Government segment across our group. You'll work towards our corporate account retention and growth targets for your allocated accounts, and explore genuine opportunities to increase market share of accounts nationally. In addition to this, you'll be the driving force behind the pre-opening and ramp up sales efforts of Punthill Tuggeranong, essentially making this role a dual NAM/BDM role for the first 12-18 months of the role.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities
At Veriu Group we recognise that that people do business with people, and therefore strong genuine relationships are at the core of our success. This brand new role in our National Sales team (based at our new Tuggeranong hotel) will be the only sales person for our Group in the ACT and report into our Melbourne-based Group Director of Sales.
You'll be held accountable for the:
* Execution of the Punthill Tuggeranong pre-opening strategic sales plan and acquisition of new target corporate accounts (multiple industries)
* Strategic retention and growth of your assigned existing national account portfoliothrough direct company engagement and meetings
* Achievement of corporate account retention and growth targets
* Identification and exploration of genuine across-group production opportunities for increased market share
* Timely and strategic execution of contracts, tenders and preferred hotel programs
* Alignment of portfolio production to group revenue targets and goals
* Use of clear, detailed and collaborative communication of rate offering to hotel key stakeholders to ensure delivery of expected experience and requirements
* Seamless acceptance ofaccounts handed over
* Complete integrity of data personally entered in the CRM
* Identification of new sales leads into the lead qualifying pipeline

Desired Skills and Experience
About You
We work in a fast-paced environment where no day is the same, so we’re looking for someone who is adaptable, enjoys variety and operates with an ownership mindset. Your strong experience in a similar B2B account management role within hotels will be key to your success, enabling you to be strategic at a Group-level.
You'll be intrinsically motivated to achieve targets, value your relationships with our hotel operations, and embrace opportunities to be a brand ambassador. Above all, you'll have a friendly and articulate approach to communicating.
The successful person must have:
* Approved Australian working rights (Australian Citizenship, Permanent Residency or a Visa with approved working rights)
* Minimum 3(ideally, 5)years account management experience and experience business development in hotels
* Intrinsic motivation to achieve targets
* Ability to thinkstrategicallyand plan
* Excellent relationship management skills
* Strong understanding of hotel sales and negotiations
* Excellent collaboration,assertivenessand communication (written and verbal at all levels)
* Effective organisation, detail orientation and time management
* Ability to influencedecision makers and provide creative solutions
