Tyre Fitters Job Description
Tyre fitters are responsible for the safe and efficient removal, fitting, and repair of tyres, rims, and wheel assemblies on heavy mining equipment. They perform inflation checks, adjust pressures, and report to their supervisor.
Key responsibilities include:
* Removing, fitting, and repairing tyres, rims, and wheel assemblies
* Conducting inflation checks and adjusting pressures
* Reporting to the supervisor
* Diagnosing and resolving tyre-related issues
Job requirements include:
Certification: Cert II in Automotive Tyre Service Technology (AUR21920)
Experience: Minimum 2 years' experience in mining earthmover tyre fitting
Licenses: Forklift High-Risk Licence/Tyre Handler experience
Medical Clearance: Standard 11 & Coal Board Medical (current)
