**Role Description/Criteria**
**Background**
St Kevin's College is a leading Catholic School in the Edmund Rice tradition. We cater for boys from ELC to Year 12 with a current enrolment of 2100 students. The College is a member of the Associated Public Schools of Victoria (APS).
The St Kevin's College Music program offers instrumental lessons to 580 students each week and has a focus on our large ensemble program which features Choirs, String Ensembles, Concert Bands, Big Bands and Symphony Orchestras. A team of 40 instrumental teachers work across the three campuses of the College.
**The Opportunity**
The Assistant Dean of Music is responsible for the seamless operations of the Music Department at our Junior School and has primary responsibility for promoting the role of music in the development of the students.
The successful applicant will be an expert primary music classroom practitioner with Choral experience and will be able to demonstrate their experience in leading staff in classroom, instrumental and ensemble settings. Advanced instrumental skills will be an advantage.
