Your journey towards a fulfilling and impactful career starts here, with Ora Banda Mining.THE ROLEApplications are sought from experienced Electrician / Instrument Technician to join the team at Ora Banda.The responsibilities of this role will include:Work towards planned maintenance and inspection activities on a daily basis to maintain all fixed plant and site infrastructureInspect and test electrical systems, equipment and components to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment and repairAssist in the development of maintenance plansAssist in planning for shutdownsProvide electrical service for unplanned maintenance and breakdownsUndertake fault finding and take corrective actions.Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical regulations, industry standards and statutory requirementsEnsure that plant and equipment is maintained to a high level of availabilitySupport the maintenance planning function by providing accurate information via completion of work orders and inspection reports and other relevant feedbackEstablish and maintain effective working relationships with Supply personnel on electrical purchasing and stock itemsEstablish and maintain effective working relationships with the processing and metallurgy personnel to ensure optimum equipment performance and availability.Ensure that all workshop, facilities and equipment is maintained in good working orderProvide mentoring and supervision of junior maintenance and trades assistant personnelAttend to breakdowns and call outs as requiredEnsure all equipment is maintained within the manufacturers’ specificationsComplete Electrical Log bookABOUT YOUTo be considered for the role, you will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:WA Electrical Workers Licence - A GradeDual Electrical Trades and Instrument Technician qualified (highly regarded)Minimum 3 years in a similar fixed plant role in a mining environment,Good working knowledge of relevant electrical legislation and standardsStrong instrumentation background including the calibration and maintenance of control systemsCompetent understanding of electrical schematics, isolation and permitting systemsExperience in the operation and maintenance of electrical and electronic equipment and instrumentationHigh level of electrical fault finding skillsAbility to conduct risk assessment and manage riskHigh Voltage Switching CertificateComputer literacy skills (Pronto highly regarded)Industry certificates, including High Risk Work License, Elevated Work Platform, Forklift (LF), WAH and Confined Spaces desirableA current “C” Class Western Australian Drivers LicenceYour motivation:We are looking for people who want to make a difference, love to challenge themselves and others to do better and pursue solutions with intent.
