Indian Cuisine Chef Job Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Indian cuisine chef to join our team on a full-time basis. Our restaurant is a renowned Indian dine-in establishment located in Thornleigh, NSW.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and cook high-quality meals adhering to culinary standards.
* Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations.
* Manage food inventory, ordering, and storage to maintain optimal stock levels.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment, adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations.
* Develop new recipes and menus to keep offerings fresh and exciting, considering dietary trends and customer preferences.
* Ensure timely preparation and delivery of meals during service periods, meeting deadlines and managing pressure effectively.
Requirements:
• Certificate IV or similar qualification in Cookery
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a chef or cook in Indian cooking in a restaurant or similar setting
• Minimum 2 years of cookery experience in Australia
Desirable Skills:
• Strong Indian culinary skills.
• Time management and working under pressure/fast-moving environment.
• Creativity and innovation for developing new recipes and enhancing existing dishes.
• Leadership and teamwork for managing the kitchen.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Attention to detail and presentation.
