The Role
This is a unique and highly varied hybrid role supporting both our Transport and Rural divisions across two locations depending on the season:
- April–September (Peak Season): On‑farm at Selma Road, including Saturday morning work
- October–March: In the Lindsay Rural Depot, Springsure Road
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast‑paced environment, and is ready to pitch in as part of a strong team supporting our valued customers.
Permanent Part‑Time – 34 hours per week Monday - Friday (additional paid overtime as required in peak months).
Key Responsibilities
Transport Administration
- Manifest consignments and operational support
- Process and manage customer orders and freight jobs
- Manage driver paperwork debriefs
- Oversee depot pallet control (CHEP/Loscam) as required
- Ensure transport documentation is accurate, compliant and lodged correctly
Rural Customer Service & Store Support
- Counter sales and customer service—cash & account customers
- Cash handling, daily banking and mail processing
- Process sales orders and delivery notes
- Stock ordering, receivals, transfers, inventory control and stocktakes
- Maintain chemical registers in line with Lindsay Rural procedures
- General store and administration tasks as required
About you
We Are Looking For Someone Who Brings
- Open Class Car Licence
- Excellent customer service and relationship‑building skills
- Positive attitude, outstanding communication skills and willingness to learn
- Ability to multitask, prioritise and work with accuracy
- Problem solving and lateral thinking skills
- Resilience, adaptability and a steady approach under pressure
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications
- Commitment to Workplace Health & Safety
- Ability to work in and around fertiliser, nutrient, chemical and packaging stock
Highly Regarded (Not Essential)
- Unrestricted manual HR Licence
- Forklift licence
- Fatigue Management knowledge
- Agsafe Accreditation (or willingness to obtain)
