Key Responsibilities
As a senior mechanical supervisor, you will lead site operations for heavy civil construction projects to ensure compliance with project programs.
Safety, cost, time, quality, environmental, and community targets are all key to delivering underground tunnelling works successfully.
You will be responsible for assembling, commissioning, and maintaining mechanical equipment on site, including TBMs and associated gear.
Liaising closely with the mechanical manager on assembly, installation, and testing of this equipment is also crucial.
* Plan and oversee daily mechanical operations, maintenance, and preventive maintenance for all mechanical equipment on site.
* Organize and manage material flows, plant/system layouts, and production specifications.
* Collaborate with the TBM electrical team on planning ongoing and future works.
* Supervise and support mechanics on shift, providing guidance on troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
* Ensure method statements and risk assessments are in place for current and future mechanical works.
* Inspect and audit plant performance to maintain compliance with Australian standards.
