About the role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Music Tutor to join our dedicated team at the National Music Academy in Newcastle, NSW. This part-time role will involve providing high-quality music instruction to students of all ages and skill levels, helping them develop their musical talents and reach their full potential.
What you'll be doing
* Delivering one-on-one and group music lessons in a range of instruments and genres, including (but not limited to) piano, guitar, bass, drums, violin and voice
* Developing personalised lesson plans and teaching methods to cater to the unique needs and learning styles of each student
* Monitoring student progress, providing feedback, and adjusting lesson plans accordingly
* Collaborating with parents and guardians to ensure the best possible learning outcomes for students
What we're looking for
* Strong proficiency in at least one primary instrument, with the ability to teach a range of instruments and musical genres
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students of all ages and skill levels
* Creativity and adaptability in developing and implementing innovative teaching methods
* A passion for music education and a commitment to helping students achieve their musical goals
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in music or education, or equivalent experience
* A current Working with Children Check or the ability to obtain one
