Salary Range : $74,000 - $80,000 + superannuation
Location : Shop 4/34 Eyre St, Kingston ACT, 2604
Job Type : Full-time (38 hours per week)
Key Responsibilities
- Creating menus, calculating food and labour costs, and managing the procurement of food supplies.
- Overseeing the quality of dishes throughout preparation and presentation stages.
- Collaborating with managers, dietitians, and kitchen and waiting staff to address food preparation concerns.
- Demonstrating cooking techniques and providing guidance on culinary procedures.
- Preparing and cooking meals, ensuring consistency in flavour and presentation.
- Communicating and ensuring compliance with hygiene standards.
- May be responsible for hiring and training staff.
- May also handle the freezing and preservation of foods.
- Designing and planning an creative menu.
- Ensuring compliance with Australian food safety regulations and maintaining high hygiene standards.
Qualifications
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Hospitality Management
- At least 2 years of full-time experience as a Chef or in a similar role.
