**Job Description**:
SGS is looking for a Laboratory Technician in Alexandria, NSW to perform routine preparation and analysis of soil, water and air in the Metals section.
Some other responsibilities will be as follow but not limited to:
- Undertake routine sample preparations for soil, water and air analyses which will include handling of acids and other reagents.
- Ensure work is carried out in a timely manner paying attention to the due date.
- Compliance with analytical methods and quality MS.
- Preparation of standards and reagents
- Analysis and recording of data/results.
- Assist chemists and supervisors in various tasks including loading of instruments, waste disposal etc.
**Qualifications**:
- Certificate IV (TAFE) or equivalent
- One to two years of laboratory experience or similar
- Current Drivers License
- Methodical, enjoys routine
- Able to follow instructions and methods/standards
