About the Position

As Our Existing Allied Health Team Continues To Do Amazing Work, Our Referral Base Keeps Quickly Growing, Creating Opportunities To Expand Our Allied Health Team. The Successful Candidate Will Be Given An Opportunity To Participate In Improving Other People's Lives By Delivering High-quality, Person‐centred Services, Working With a Range Of Clients Across a Range Of Care Needs From Short-term Involvement, To Complex, Long-term Needs. This Will Involve, But Is Not Limited To

Responsibilities

* Assessing, diagnosing and managing clients who present with a wide range of communication and swallowing disorders.
* Participation in complex multidisciplinary assessments (e.g. FASD).
* Providing client support including clinic or home‐based sessions, training and resource development.
* Working with low and high tech ACC.

Essential Qualifications

* A degree in Speech Pathology and eligibility for certified practising membership of Speech Pathology Australia.
* Current driver's licence.
* Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening, or the ability to attain these checks.

Desirable Qualifications

* Experience in working with people with intellectual disabilities and/or experiences of trauma who have complex needs.
* Experience in conducting communication assessments, treatment planning and intervention for children, adolescents and adults with a wide range of presentations; and mealtime management.
* Experience in supervision and mentoring of staff.
