This pay rate is inclusive of mandatory 25% casual loading
In this role you will be working within a team to participate in a variety of project management activities such as risk and issues monitoring and management, project reporting, supporting project governance requirements such as preparing for project boards, participating in procurement activities, and assisting in the monitoring and reporting of project budgets.
**Role responsibilities**:
Key responsibilities for the role:
- Provide project support, ensuring the project aligns with Program strategies and ways of working including standards, procedures, methods, tools and techniques.
- Assist with the identification, planning and tracking of project activities and dependencies.
- Participate in project governance activities and undertake project secretariat functions including preparation for project board meetings, developing meeting minutes and following up actions.
- Manage and monitor project risks and issues registers and advising on remediation strategies and plans
- Provide input into project assurance plans, reviews and health checks.
- Participate in procurement activities, including contributing to and reviewing documentation and supporting evaluation and negotiation processes.
- Assist with undertaking procurement and financial management activities, including raising Purchase Orders, processing payments of invoices, assisting with financial reporting and budget tracking.
- Undertake best practice processes and draw on professional experience and expertise to present clear and independent advice and ensure timely communication to management around the progression of project deliverables.
- Provide high level advice on relevant policy, legislation and procedures, including the preparation of reports, briefings and ministerial correspondence.
- Perform other essential duties and tasks specific to the position as required.
**Mandatory Qualifications, Conditions and Requirements**:
**Although there are no mandatory requirements for this role, expertise and experience in the following would be highly desirable**:
- proven experience with project management methodologies such as Prince2 and agile approaches
- Experience PM tools such as MS Project, Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Teams Planner and Outlook.
