Your new company prides itself on safety, efficiency and delivering reliable service to its customers, while supporting a strong team culture across operations.
Your new role
Your new role will see you managing a fleet of 19 trucks and overseeing a team of approximately 20 transport staff. Your new role requires you to lead daily fleet operations, ensure compliance, and maintain a strong safety focus across all activities.
Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day fleet operations, scheduling and driver coordination
* Monitor vehicle maintenance, compliance and safety standards
* Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities across the fleet
* Support drivers with issues or queries, including occasional after-hours calls
* Ensure all transport activities meet legislative and industry requirements
* Lead and mentor a team of around 20 staff
* Report on fleet performance and improvement initiatives
Requirements
* Dangerous Goods (DG) Licence
* Current truck licence (minimum Medium Rigid)
* Forklift licence
* Experience managing fleets, transport operations or similar environments
* Strong understanding of compliance, safety and maintenance
* Flexibility to assist the team outside standard hours when required
