We are looking for a Chef/Cook to join our team in a up-to-date restaurant located in Traralgon.
Key Responsibilities
Meal Preparation : Prepare, season, and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and customer preferences.
Supervision : Manage and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including cooks and assistants, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality food preparation.
Quality Control : Monitor food preparation processes to maintain quality, freshness, and adherence to food safety standards.
Inventory Management : Oversee inventory levels, order supplies as needed and ensure proper stock rotation to minimize waste.
Training and Mentoring : Train and mentor kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen operations.
Sanitation Compliance : Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, sanitation guidelines, and food handling procedures.
Collaboration : Work closely with front-of-house staff to coordinate service timing and menu offerings, ensuring a seamless dining experience for guests.
